Kayak Trip on San Francisco Bay
May 6 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm| $125.00
POSTPONED TO ANOTHER DATE. WATCH THE CALENDAR OR JOIN US ON A FARALLON EXPEDITION.
Join shark specialist and Director of Shark Stewards David McGuire on a 3 hour educational tour on Richardson Bay Sausalito. This fundraising event to support Shark Steward’s conservation work in the Bay, paddles past seals, seabirds and habitat under restoration.
Have you ever wondered what lives beneath the surface of the Bay? What seabirds and marine mammals live here and who is transiting through our estuary? Learn about sharks, seabirds and seals and habitat restoration efforts and conservation work by Sausalito non-profit Shark Stewards. Sharks and rays are now pupping in the Bay and we might even see one as we learn about these and other important marine animals!
We will paddle up the bay and visit a restoration site where we can disembark and birdwatch and learn about bay plants and animals. We return at 1200. Lunch is available at many great restaurants nearby.
More than a basic kayak, this is a wildlife and conservation experience that benefits Bay protection and restoration.
Meet at 0830 at Sea Trek Kayak 2100 Bridgeway Sausalito, CA 94965 near the Bay Model. Free parking is available. Directions.
