Sharktoberfest- Celebrating the White Sharks in Our Sanctuary
September 29 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm
Celebrate the Sharks! Since 2006 when Shark Stewards first worked to introduce the California Shark Fin trade ban, we have produced the films and held community events to save sharks and celebrating the return of these magnificent sharks to our Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary. We call these events Sharktober and celebrate the return of the white sharks to our Sanctuary. Join us with live music, shark activities, education and an ocean costume contest with prizes.
Save the date for our Sharktober events, kicking off with our Sharktoberfest at the Sanctuary September 29 with music, shark activities and fun!
Sanctuary Visitor’s Center at Crissy Field in San Francisco. Volunteers needed on Friday to help set up, and the day of the event.
