Third Annual Citizen Science for Conservation in Southern California Symposium (CSCSCS)
March 24, 2018 @ 1:00 am - 11:00 am
Join Shark Steward’s Director David McGuire at the Third Annual Citizen Science for Conservation in Southern California Symposium (CSCSCS) will be held on March 24, 2018 at the Aquarium of the Pacific.
We will be presenting on use of the OpenROV Trident as a Citizen Science monitoring tool in Marine Protected Areas.
Anyone involved or interested in citizen science is invited and encouraged to attend this symposium. Attendees will include practitioners who design citizen science programs, volunteers currently participating in these programs, as well as students, educators, and anyone with an interest in becoming a citizen scientist or starting a citizen science program. The audience will represent diverse disciplines in conservation-related fields with varying levels of experience. The most important opportunities at the symposium will be those that allow participants to make connections, share their knowledge and information with others, and learn from experts and fellow citizen scientists.
Advance Registration required.
