Sharktober Cleanup and Activity, Aquatic Park

Join Shark Stewards and our science team for our annual celebration of sharks and ocean health with a community cleanup at our favorite (future) Shark Park.
Education, Science and Action
Support sharks and ocean health! We are preparing to make a statement in defense of the Sanctuaries Act, the Marine Mammal Protection Act and the Endangered Species Act, all under threat.
Join us making signs and costumes to peacefully protest at the University Overpass on No Kings Ocean Day October 18.
Join our Aquatic Park Stewards team testing water quality, cleaning up marine debris and helping maintain the lagoon and park.
Meet our Friends of Aquatic Park partners and help collect data on this ongoing research and community science project.

- sunscreen and hat
- sunglasses
- reusable water or drink container
- lunch or snacks if desired- no single use plastic please!
- sandals, sneakers of beach shoes.
Cleanup supplies if you have themGather reusable cleanup supplies from home, like a bucket and gardening gloves. Cleanup supplies, as well as liability waivers, will be available at each cleanup site if needed. Show up at our cleanup site at the designated time and day. Check in with on-site cleanup staff and start cleaning
