Farallon Island Expedition
November 12, 2016 @ 11:30 pm - November 13, 2016 @ 8:30 am
$125Join Shark Stewards on our unique Sharktober educational adventures to the Farallon Islands.
There are hundreds of Humpback Whales feeding in our Farallon Islands Sanctuary, Blue Whales, Fin Whales, leaping Thresher Sharks and a Leatherback Sea Turtle was spotted! Sharktober is upon us and the white sharks are returning from their 4000 miles plus migration.
We only book a few exclusive trips in the fall when the white sharks return and the weather is clement for our passengers and college students. We focus on shark conservation and the health of the entire marine ecosystem in our newly expanded National Marine Sanctuary. Our vessel and naturalist are permitted by the Sanctuary for Shark Viewing. Although we will seek and talk about sharks- these trips are conservation and outdoor marine education and not explicitly shark watching trips.
These are exclusive Sharktober trips to the Devil’s Teeth, Island of the Great White Shark. We only book in fall when the white sharks return and the weather is clement for our passengers. We focus on shark conservation and the health of the entire marine ecosystem in our sanctuary. Although we will watch whales and seabirds, and seek sharks, these trips are conservation and outdoor marine education and not shark watching trips.
