We are advocating to protect California Marine Life by eliminating plastic from our National Park.  These surveys collect data on brands, butts and shot gun wads using the Swell Pro App.

Join us at 9am with Groundswell Community Project for a 45 minute intention setting circle and 10 am for the beach clean-up. The Sand & Sea Circle, facilitated by Groundswell Community Project will guide our community through movement, breath, and intention setting before cleaning the coastline and showing our love for the mother ocean.

Groundswell Community Project is a woman lead organization with a passion to enhance mental health, women’s health, and ocean health through our trauma informed surf therapy programs. Our programs combine eco therapy, somatic therapy, mindfulness, play and the healing powers of the sea to create safe and brave spaces for women around the world to reclaim their healing, power, and belonging in the sea and back on sand together. We are honored to hold a Sand & Sea Circle at the International Ocean Film Festival as we bridge the connection between our mental health, physical health and the ocean’s health.

Meet at the west end of the Dolphin Club at bench at 10Am. Look for the Shark Flag and sign in sheet. Pickers, gloves and buckets are available but donations gratefully accepted to supply these and to support our youth ocean education program.
