Unlock the Wonders of Marin’s Coastal Wildlife and Marine Sanctuary and Marine Protected Areas from the surface, to beneath and how they are protected. Understand the diverse regulations protecting oceanic wildlife and habitats, including fishing, endangered species, and area-based protection- including activism and stakeholder engagement.

Examine MPAs at federal, state, and local levels, and gain field experience as community scientists- and learn from regulators, marine managers and wildlife biologists.

Explore current research on species and marine protection, use app technology to record observations and contribute databases and examine policies governing Federal and California marine ecosystems.

Join us experiencing and learning about preserving the splendors of the Marin Coastline.

Please read:  Please note that 11/9 and 11/23 are field trips, one to the Duxbury State Marine Conservation Area , and one to the Drakes Estero and Point Reyes National Seashore.
An optional trip to visit the Greater Farallones National Marine Sanctuary and see the Farallon Island Wildlife Refuge and their amazing wildlife.
