Coastal Cleanup Day, Aquatic Park
September 18, 2022 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join Shark Stewards celebrating the earth and ocean health for a marine debris survey, and beach clean up at Aquatic Park, San Francisco. We are collecting data on marine debris for our national campaign to make all National Parks #PlasticFree!
Make a statement to protect fish and stop overfishing by wearing a ocean creature costume, reduce ocean plastic and make a sign to save the ocean and wildlife.
Thirty-three billion pounds of plastic enter the world’s marine environments every year, devastating our shared ocean and coastal ecosystems.

WHERE
Meet at the bleachers mid-park and look for the sign and sign in sheet. We have buckets and pickers for use but please return them!
Advance sign up and donations accepted for our youth program.
Since 2015 we have been monitoring and segregating marine debris, recycling and working to reduce ocean pollution. Over 100,000 butts have been picked up since we began these cleanups in 2015. Let’s make our National Park smoke free and the ocean healthy by stopping overfishing.
COVID Safety urged: vaccines, distance and masks for others please.
