Shark Safari San Diego with Shark Stewards

Join Shark Stewards on a SCUBA Charter with Waterhorse Charters (topside spaces available)

Join shark conservationists and specialists on a unique opportunity to search for, and document sharks, including: swell sharks, horn sharks, bat rays, soupfin sharks and sevengill sharks in the La Jolla Cove State Marine Reserve (and possibly Point Loma).
As part of Shark Watch CA, Shark Stewards is coordinating a community science SCUBA event in La Jolla cove to spread the word about sharks, and collect data using photo ID. Join us searching and providing images to the Shark ID on the eShark database engaging the community to provide observations on sharks, shark encounters and shark catch.
Optional– following the dive we can snorkel search for leopard sharks near the Marine Room restaurant at the extreme south end of La Jolla Shores Beach. Learn more about San Diego sharks.
Included is a private zoom on California Sharks with Shark Stewards on April 10 with marine biologist David McGuire of Shark Stewards.
We are using the 50 foot dive vessel Humboldt with Waterhorse Charters– with a licensed captain and crew with a great safety and service record. (gratuity not included)
- $185 Space for 18 divers, topside slots available.
- $100 deposit required with full payment due one week before the dive*
- Divers are responsible to have an advanced open water dive certification or higher and sign a waiver in advance (or at the vessel).
- Two tanks with air (Nitrox optional) and weights, snacks and beverages provided.
- Dive equipment can be rented from Waterhorse in advance.
