“No water, no life. No blue, no green.” Dr. Sylvia Earle
Nearly 10 % of the planet has some level of protection, yet the oceans have only around 3%. Shark Stewards works everyday to increase the area of marine protection in California and across the Pacific for sharks, fish and habitat for all marine life.
Starting with a beach clean up Saturday 4/15, celebrate Earth Week- keeping the healthy Blue in the clean Green.
Get salty. Aquatic Park beach clean-ups continue with the next event Saturday 4/15 and on Earth Day. These activities are fun, team building and collect data to support SB 386 to Ban Smoking on State Beaches and Parks in California. We record wildlife and educate to protect Bay health. Get the kids involved!
Our student film Hang Onto Your Butts, won the first prize in the middle school competition at the International Ocean Film Festival, San Francisco! In our Shark Watch education program the kids of Francisco Middle School have been helping clean, quantify and recycle marine debris and learn about wildlife and ecosystems since 2015.
Corporate groups welcome! Air BnB will be joining us for a pre-Earth Day clean up on the 21st. Sign up your company for community team building and give back.
